Keep your wallet keys private

The difference between an address and a recovery phrase.

An address is for receiving

A public address lets others send assets to you. A private key authorizes transactions. A recovery phrase can restore access to accounts controlled by the wallet.

Protect the recovery phrase

Never share it with a website, a chat contact or someone claiming to provide support. Keep a secure offline backup and check the wallet’s official recovery instructions.

Read before signing

Confirm the site, network, recipient and permissions before approving a transaction. Token approvals and wallet connections are different actions; understand what a request authorizes.
